Is it true that some people have developed the taste for secretly recording conversation and meetings of colleagues and leaders in the Church of Jesus Christ?

Is it true that there are leaders also creating fertile grounds for such cancerous character to fester in the Church by admitting such recordings for action instead of discouraging and uprooting an epidemic waiting to become a pandemic..?

I sincerely pray and hope that this is not true, but just rumours or a dream.

One of the prayers Jesus Offered to the Father in John 17:21-22 was that all of us may be one, just as the Father is in Him and He is in the Father. He further prayed that His Disciples would also be in Them, so that the world may believe that God sent Him.

This prayer indicates that UNITY is a key and uncompromising element of our faith and evidence in the messiahship of Jesus. A key pillar which should be fought for and preserved by all Christians irrespective of denomination

This cancerous cell of secretly recording colleagues and leaders should be discouraged and vehemently fought against by every true child of God.

Those doing the recordings should and must put a stop to it no matter how beneficial it may appear, if they truly have conscience and are children of God. Those benefiting from the recordings should also kindly discourage and kill that practice no matter how beneficial it may appear to their course. Whatever is sown or encouraged to be sown today shall be reaped one day. When such culture of recording is entertained by us in leadership, it should also be known that same leadership may be recorded one day or shall loose the love, trust and respect of genuine friends who gets to know of their flirting with these recordings. God have mercy, How did the church get here?

The collateral damage it may cost the body of Christ is unimaginable. It may among others:

1. Create fear and panic in the system.
2. Cause mistrust in the body of Christ
3. Stifle the liberty Christ has given the church into one of “Oyaa suro oyaaa” to wit a breakdown of trust
4. It places unnecessary power in the hands of leaders instead of the spirit of servant hood like Christ.

MOST IMPORTANTLY, It would kill the fire of the Holy Ghost in the Church. Such that instead of the reverent fear of the Lord driving the church through the dependence on the Holy Ghost, like the Peter and the Ananias and Sapphira incidence, where the recording was by the Holy Ghost, the Church would now walk in the fear of leadership. This would bread hypocrisy, sycophancy, division and mistrust. Any Kingdom divided against itself will not stand. The key word is ANY KINGDOM

People should be able to either openly or privately confront wrong doings in love and with wisdom, whenever and wherever they occur, instead of recording.

May God help His Church and may those who have ears heed to the call of the Spirit for unity and trust.
